Zechstein Inside Brine or commonly called "magnesium oil" is the form that Zechstein Magnesium is extracted from the ancient salt layer, located 1500 meters underground. It is extracted using solution mining technology, where just water is sent through a pipe to the salt layer, there magnesium chloride melts upon contact and as the result a highly concentrated brine of 31% magnesium comes back up by pressure.
